From PolyNome 22.12.2 onwards you can create backups in your iCloud Drive. These backups will persist, even if you need to delete the app.

They will also be available on your other devices, so you can easily pull across your new Presets or Practice Events by loading from a backup.

Importing a backup won’t replace what’s on your device – it will only add to it.

When you Import a Backup, it won’t create any duplicates, so don’t be afraid to Import more than once, or from multiple Backups.

  • Presets in the Backup that are not on your device will be imported.
  • If a Preset in the Backup already exists on the device you’re importing to:-
    • The Preset will be skipped if the version on your device is newer than the version in the Backup.
    • The Preset will be updated if the version on your device is older than the version in the Backup.

The same applies to Playlists and Practice Log events.

There are 2 ways to import your created backup on other devices.

  • AirDrop: If you have both devices in the same place, select the backup, tap the share button, and AirDrop it to your other device. You can also use this method to save the Backup somewhere else (e.g. Google Drive), or to open it in a different version of PolyNome (if you happen to have PolyNome and PolyNome Pro on your device)
  • iCloud: The other way is to open the Backups page on your other device and tap the backup you want. This will download it from iCloud. Once downloaded, you can select it and choose Import to import it.

To delete a backup, either swipe on the row, or tap the Edit button and choose delete.
