PolyNome is the most powerful iOS metronome with a Big Numbers display feature.

The customizable Big Numbers Display makes it easy to track your place on Sequencer 1 at a glance. It’s also a great way to display the rhythm to an audience, like for recording tutorials or instructing students.

To turn on the Big Numbers display: navigate to the PolyNome Menu and tap Big Numbers.

Quick Tips

  • Change the transparency of the the display using the Big# fader in the Mixer. When transparency is enabled, you can use the controls in the background.
  • Customize the color of the background, the big number, or the Details section! In the PolyNome menu, navigate to Preferences, then tap Big Numbers Colors. Tap each area to set their respective colors.
  • The count is based on the time signature of Seq 1

Big Numbers Options

To change the Big Numbers’ behavior, start playing your rhythm to display the Big Numbers, then tap the Gear icon in the lower right. Here’s what you can do:

BOUNCE:
Toggle on Bounce to animate the count with a slight bounce in and out.

DETAILS:
Toggle on Details to show information such as preset name, current rep or time remaining, and BPM relating to the current rhythm.

PIN:
Toggle on Pin to have the Big Numbers display remain on screen even when PolyNome is stopped.

  • To Pause playback, tap in the top 1/3 of the screen
  • To Stop playback, tap in the bottom 2/3 of the screen
  • To Play, tap anywhere on the screen

When playback is stopped, tap the X to temporarily hide the Big Numbers display to make changes to your Preset.

iPad:
When using on an iPad, you can choose between displaying the Big Numbers Full Screen, covering the Met (left half) or Library (right half)
